Starbucks launches weekly iOS apps redemption cards in Canada

What started as a song every week, available for free from your local Starbucks, has expanded to Canada in the form of a free app every week. Updated every Tuesday, the redemption card allows users to download a paid app through the iTunes interface by entering a unique code. The promotion has been available for a while in the US but, like the ability to pay for your drink from the iPhone app, has taken its time to arrive up here.
The first app being offered is EA’s popular Tetris, the updated version that sells for 99c in the App Store.
